Moving forward with Mazda dealers.
When a company’s as big and diversified as Mazda, what does it mean to move forward “together”? With voices and perspectives across the globe, uniting under a single ideology is no small feat.
Alongside our friends at Corporate Magic, we developed an internal brand story for their partners in the US from the point of view of those on the ground, illuminating how healthy, innovative relationships between the dealerships and HQ set the tone for progress.
For the next two months we shot in Los Angeles, Tulsa, Minneapolis, Miami, and Boston, featuring dealers on and off the lot. Thanks to an edifying, open collaboration with our partners, we thread this unique needle, uniting styles and voices, melding our primary narrative with striking abstract frames and traditional auto footage. And, to ensure an expedient delivery, conducted the edit in conjunction to meet a quick post deadline.
Mazda Moving Forward clocked in at about 17 minutes and as one of our biggest projects to date. It allowed us to work in tandem with wonderful creatives and an innovative brand working towards company unity from every direction. The US audience was captivated by the story and the new mission of their company.
Even still, an even greater comment came later as Mazda identified with the message so much they translated it into Japanese to showcase back at HQ.
